What a busy and successful week. Played moderately well at the NSU Shark Invitational @ PGA National. Got some news about the Don't Ask Don't Tell policy to share: according to CNN a judge has ordered the government to repeal DADT. I hope something comes from this new development. Thank you Judge Phillips! I will say this: it is very sad that this is even an issue. The fact that a homosexual can be dishonorable discharged, just for being a homosexual is absolutely and positively outrageous!
I wish more of society would be outraged enough to write their senators and congressmen. Although maybe no one is outraged because ignorance is bliss?? The scary reality I see on a daily basis, is one of lost young adults who would rather get in a heated argument about "Jersey Shore" then debate about the real social and economic problems our country faces. Why is this the case? Are young adults so rapped up in entertainment that they would rather look up funny and some times ridiculous YouTube videos, than get informed about the horrific inequalities homosexuals face? I'm pretty tired of it myself, but I do not expect to enlighten an entire generation. Human rights in general have come along way that is a fact. African Americans struggled for their rights, women have struggled for their rights, and homosexuals will continue to fight for their rights in society until they are treated as equals.

Meet the girl with the rainbow shirt.
This is a weekly blog, about me, the girl with the rainbow shirt! I am in my last year of college at a catholic university in Florida. I also play golf and tutor students part time. I decided to major in Accounting, I figure if I'm going to spend four years studying something, it might as well be something that's nearly recession proof. I am a huge supporter of the LGBT community and the Human Rights Campaign. I guess you can do the math on my political views. I truly believe I have found "the one", and I plan to spend the rest of my life with her. This is a blog about the trials, failures, successes and opportunities of my life. Follow along for a fun ride!
